Margorie Mariah Tise was born on July 3, 1908.
She was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains. At a young age she married Clarence Marshal Tesh. She was the mother of five children, the Grandmother of twenty one children. She never worked formally, but she was very actively involved in her church, and she loved to cook. She taught Piano lessons most of her life. She spent a lot of time raising her family and writing short stories. Her stories became a tradition at our family gatherings. Late in her life, she and Clarence were divorced and she remarried a man named Mr. Clarence Adams. After his death she lived the rest of her life with her daughter Nancy Yontz. Her stories, recipes and warm smiles will be remembered for years to come. |
